Ang Huling Pag-asa ng Pamilya: Bunso

Many Filipino families, we often hear a saying, "You are the last hope of the family." Often, this is said to the youngest. As the youngest, the youngest child has a unique role in the family; sometimes they are the source of joy, sometimes they are the one everyone takes care of, and sometimes they are expected to support the family in the future.

The youngest grew up surrounded by love and guidance from their parents and older siblings. Because of this, he is often helped and supported in his dreams. But alongside this love is the quiet expectation of the family that he will bring hope and change.

It's not easy to be the "last hope." There are times when the youngest feels pressure due to the weight of the responsibility placed on their shoulders. He wonders if he can fulfilll the family's dreams and if his efforts will be enough.

Because the youngest should be valued, as there are many instances where the youngest children have problems but they do not tell their families because they do not want to add to their families' problems. So we should ask them from time to time if they are "still okay?", "still able?" Because the youngest also has many dreams for themselves, let's not get used to the phrase "The youngest is the last hope of the family," as it affects the thoughts of every youngest child.

But despite everything, being the youngest is not just about responsibility. It is also about the love, support, and inspiration that come from the family. The youngest should not bear the entire weight of the family's dreams. Instead, they should remember that success is lighter when it is pursued together.

In the end, the true hope of the family does not solely rest on the youngest. It is in the unity, cooperation, and love of each family member. Because when the family is united, no dream is impossible to achieve.
